Concert Bands

The Wind Ensemble is the most advanced band and performs challenging literature. Admission is open only by audition. Students in wind ensemble typically have taken private lessons or are currently studying privately. The wind ensemble has performed at the California state conference, is invited to numerous invitationals, and consistently earns unanimous superior ratings at festivals. The Lynbrook Wind Ensemble has performed in China, Germany, Scotland, Spain, Costa Rica, New York, and France throughout the years.

The Symphonic Band is the intermediate level band and performs challenging literature. Admission is open by audition or placement by Mr. Pakaluk. The Symphonic Band performs a wide variety of literature ranging from standard band repertory to movie soundtracks. The symphonic band performs at the Halloween concert, winter concert, spring concert, FUHSD Band exchange, CMEA, and pops concert.

The Concert Band is comprised of freshmen only and performs a variety of literature, including all the marching band music. This class focuses on building instrumental and ensemble skills. All 9th graders are placed in concert band unless they audition into a higher band during the spring before entering high school. The concert band performs at the winter concert, spring concert, FUHSD Band exchange, CMEA, and pops concert.
