The committee has the responsibility to make sure that each marching band member is fitted with a set of uniform, ordering uniform parts, and dry cleaning the uniform at the end of the marching season. During the marching field shows, the uniform committee is on hand for last minute emergencies and issue plumes and gauntlets at performances.

Supports uniform committee to help students with uniforms, distribute plumes and gauntlets, inspect uniform before formal inspection at competitions.

Help organize and plan meals for all Marching Band competitions.

Support food committee by helping prepare and serve meals at Marching Band competitions.

Accompany students on buses and assist with uniforms, etc. at Marching Band competitions.

Helps move Pit/Front Ensemble instruments, equipment, and field show props on and off the field at marching competitions.

Tow the instrument and uniform trailers that support the Marching Band.

Help build props for the field show as needed.

Cutters and Sewers are needed to make flags and outfits for the color guards. Good if you own a sewing machine. Need a team of 12 or more.

Put bleacher covers on bleachers at football games at the Marching Band members section'. (This is to protect members' marching uniform.)

Plan and coordinate volunteers for the district Orchestra Festival. Many orchestras come to this 2 day event to be judged by judicators. We always received wonderful comments from judicators and directors alike on how well the festival is conducted and the hospitality and friendliness of our chairs, parent volunteers and student helpers. It’s a community event for all students and parents of all instrumental groups. Concession Committee LIMB operates a concession at all our concerts & CMEA. The committee plans and coordinate volunteers to staff the concession stands and solicit bake goods for sale. The profits are essential to the instrumental music program to allow us to continue funding our programs.

Help support the CMEA Orchestra festival hosted by Lynbrook. Concession, medal sales, volunteer sign-in, orchestra check in, door monitors, bus directors, hospitality, results processor.

The annual craft fair in November is our biggest fund raising activity. Many hours go into the planning and coordination for the daylong event and many volunteers are needed to help out in the event. It is hope that every parent can come out to support this committee.

Help with support the running of the craft faire. Make signs, setup, cleanup, parking, vendor registration, bake sale, hot food, vendor hospitality, raffle, etc.

Responsible for the fund-raising activities required meeting the annual budget. Example, Fresh Choice nights.

Sell SCRIP at instrumental music events, and publicize and manage e-Scrip sign ups.

Help plan and research the next instrumental tour.

Set up and sell cookies, snacks and drinks at intermission during all the concert events throughout the year.

Coordinate volunteer needs for events and recruit volunteers via Volunteer Spot, web service.

Maintain band equipment throughout the year and make small repairs, e.g., for pit, equipment, percussion, lights, electrical, etc.

The webmaster designs, monitors, updates and maintains all aspects of the Lynbrook Instrumental Music website in a timely manner.

Help capture instrumental music activities in photos.

Video record marching band and other instrumental music ensemble performances.
